Thing 23
Finally here at Thing 23 and looking back realizing that I have learned so much in a very short period of time. Using Things on Web 2.0 has taught me so many new and creative things that I never thought I would be able to understand. Being a casual computer user--meaning--I use to get email, FB, Google stuff etc and of course, work, I am more comfortable looking at the possibilities that are really endless. I am actually very motivated to begin using some of the ideas that I have learned from this class. Using wikis, podcasts, and even google docs will make a difference in how business is currently done in my building. Since we are looking at becoming a STEM school, this is a timely class to have had and I would very much like to work on the technology piece. However, I still have a very long way to go. I feel that this is just step 1 in the process, but one that I'm very happy to have taken on this year!

Congratulations on completing the 23 Things! Let me know if you need help next year as you work on the Technology piece. You've got a loaded technology toolbox now.
ReplyDeleteWelcome Cooley families to the 2010-2011 school year for fifth grade in Room 104! This year will be very exciting as we work towards becoming a more technology-literate classroom. Please work with us, be patient with our trials and mistakes as we do this!
ReplyDeleteThis year we are very lucky to host a student intern from the University of Michigan-Flint. Her name is Miss Jessica Bartle and she lives in Auburn Hills. She is extremely excited to begin her teaching career here at Cooley, especially teaching in fifth grade. We were pleased that she was able to come in last spring and work with us, spending time with our fourth graders in our class, attending our field trips and accompanying us to Indian Springs. We have worked over the summer to create a sound learning environment for our students and we are looking forward to a very fulfilling school year. Ms. Bartle will be here from the start of school until the end of December. Please wish her well!
